About Us
A healthy and growing family business.
At Aarts Conserven, we are proud of our history and look confidently towards the future. Founded in 1934 by Martinus Aarts, an asparagus farmer who began canning his own asparagus. Now, the Kessels family leads the way. We look forward to celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2034!
Our Canning House
Welcome to the Canning House, where the culinary tradition of canning is passed down from generation to generation.

The 8 of Aarts
At Aarts, we strive for the "8 of Aarts" in everything we do—a broad interpretation of an 8 on our report card. We don't settle for a 7 or less, and a 9 or 10 is often too complex or costly. This guideline is easily and effectively applied by everyone in our company and translated into eight themes.
OUR team
The Kessels family now leads Aarts Conserven. We are a close-knit team, working in a family atmosphere. Throughout the year, 45 people are permanently employed, growing to over 120 during the asparagus and cherry seasons. The Aarts DNA flows through the veins of all these employees.

From Farm to Fork
The asparagus, sourcherries, and pears arrive fresh at our facility. Before they go into the jar, we process them by peeling, pitting, or stewing, for example. We'd love to show you how we do this.
Quality
Quality and craftsmanship have been the pillars of Aarts Conserven since 1934. This is also reflected in our logo: the red seal is the hallmark of an Aarts quality product. A closer look reveals the initials of our founder in the red logo: M for Martinus, A for Aarts, and L for Lottum.
